Votorantim Cimentos History

In 1918, a textile factory located in São Paulo (Brazil), was the origin of a business that would later become one of the largest private business holdings in Latin America: Votorantim S.A.

Votorantim Cimentos was founded in 1933 with 100% Brazilian capital, and three years later inaugurated the first cement factory in Saint Helena. In 2001, the company began its international expansion phase in the USA and Canada, which will continue in 2007 in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Uruguay. In 2012, operations begin in Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Spain, India and China and today it is present in 11 countries.
